An anti-Sicilian that ducks the huge Open Sicilian theory: 3.Bb5+ checks immediately, planning to trade the bishop and reach a slightly better, easy-to-play position. Solid and low-maintenance, it's a favourite of players who want a Sicilian without memorising the Najdorf and Sveshnikov.
