- …Bf5 develops the problem bishop outside the chain, then …e6, …Nd7 and …Ngf6 complete a solid setup.
- White gains space and time chasing the bishop with h4–h5 and Nf3, castling queenside for a pawn storm.
- Black's structure is durable; the game is a strategic fight over the light squares and the …c5 break.
